General

If you Google “Streek” it says – to stretch (one’s limbs), as on awakening or by exercise.

Streek is also a play on the word “Streak” – as in a running streak, or running multiple days in a row. One of our core values is to teach you to run in a way that is sustainable and promotes good health, so that you can run (potentially every day) for the rest of your life.

Streek provides tailored training programs catering to individuals ranging from novices to seasoned athletes, as well as those recuperating from injuries. Members have access to our diverse range of programs, enabling them to select the most suitable starting point for their running journey.

Every training program commences with a self-assessment of your current running level, ensuring you will be training within your body’s capabilities. By avoiding overtraining, the primary culprit behind most running-related injuries, this approach empowers you to maximise your running potential without unnecessary risks.

Our programs feature user-friendly videos, strength-building workouts, and comprehensive technique tutorials, ensuring you have all the tools you need to stay injury free and improve your running.

We have walk/run training plans suitable for someone who has never run a step and is looking to complete their first 3km or 5km run. All the way through to plans for seasoned athletes competing in a marathon or a major trail running event.

All of our programs have a beginner, intermediate and advanced option and detailed explanations on how to choose the correct plan for your running ability.

We have plans for 5km PBs, 10km, half marathon and full marathon road events
We have trail plans ranging from 10km runnable trail events through to 100-mile high alpine events.

We have plans designed to help you return to running following an injury and cross training plans to help keep you fit when you are injured.

We have a very active online members group. When you sign up we will send you the details of how to become part of our members group. It is really very simple and a great way to ask questions, organise training runs and any other queries you might have.

Streek has been built as a Progressive Web App (PWA) which will function just like an app on your mobile phone. You can download it to your phone, tablet or computer here.

We can help!

We are very sorry to hear you are injured. We know how difficult that can be.

If you have an injury that requires some rest from running, there are almost always some cross-training options available to help you maintain your fitness, strength, and sanity. By cross-training while you are injured, and including some simple strength, stretching and foam rolling routines, you will speed up your recovery time and ultimately make your return to running easier and more successful.

It is recommended you seek medical advice before starting any program.

We have a free 4-week cross training plan available on the website for injured runners.

It will help you to identify appropriate exercises based on your injury type and recommend what cross training methods will work best for your injury.

When you are ready you can start our 10-week return to running program or one of our run-specific rehab plans.
